Better late than never. Over the past one year, we have only seen celebs vaguely talking about the #MeToo movement in Hollywood. Most of them talked about how the movement is not possible in the Indian scenario. But now the movement is finally here, big names are falling like a house of cards. More and more celebs are chiming in, in whatever capacity they can to call out the harassment prevalent in Bollywood. The Padmaavat actress very smartly called out the hypocrisy of many on her social media. She tweeted, "Slow clap for the dizzying heights of hypocrisy... People who are clearly guilty of major harassment giving gyaan on the #MeTooIndia movement...[sic]" Ouch. Some people are going to be so hurt. But well done, Aditi. We need more people to call out the hypocrisy like this. Men should be scared, very scared.

In the latest list of alleged harassers is director Sajid Khan. Three women came out to allege that the Humshakals filmmaker harassed them. Sajid had to step down from the position of director of Housefull 4 after backlash from fans. #MeToo Movement: Subhash Ghai Accused of Drugging and Raping Woman; Filmmaker Alleges Defamation.
The Pandora's Box was opened by Tanushree Dutta when she said in an interview that #MeToo movement won't happen in India unless she gets justice for what happened in 2008 with her. As per her, Nana Patekar had harassed her on the sets of the film Horn Ok Please a decade ago.
Eventually, women gathered courage and called out celebs like Kailash Kher, Subhash Ghai, Piyush Mishra, Raghu Dixit and many many more. If you soon find your favourite A-lister on the alleged list of predators, don't be surprised.
