#MeToo movement in Bollywood has affected not only the people but also the shows where these people were involved. One of the shows is Netflix's popular series 'Sacred Games.' Anurag Kashyap- Vikramditya Motwane (who directed Sacred Games) led Phantom Films recently got dissolved due to severe sexual harassment accusations on one of the members, Vikas Bahl. Also, co-writer Varun Grover got accused of sexual misconduct. This left the platform to rethink about their decision to continue with Sacred Games Season 2. To the delight of the fans, they are going ahead with the series starring Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
They issued a statement saying, "After an independent investigation, the results helped inform Netflix’s decision to continue with Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap on season 2 of Sacred Games. We continue to collaborate with our production partners to ensure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment." Saif had earlier hinted about this decision while speaking with PTI, saying, "We have been talking constantly. They don't like me talking about the show anyways. I like working with them, they are brilliant. They want to keep it a secret. But I want to give you a clue. There was a terrible scandal concerning Kevin Spacey and he had a show 'House of Cards', the show is going on but Spacey is not there. Let that be a clue."
