If you liked Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, she is here with another treat for you. After Alia Bhatt led film on the book 'Calling Sehmat', the director is all set to make series. The series will be done on the cases helmed by highly regarded top cop, and former Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, Rakesh Maria. The maker will be showing us the cop’s experiences while solving the cases and we can bet that it will be damn interesting!

Speaking about it, the Talvar director said in a statement, “Mr Rakesh Maria’s life-experiences and his prolific career in law-enforcement are a powerful lens to explore the chronology of crime and terror, in our society - as a city, as well as, as a country and a geographical region. The potential of this content is limitless, and that is supremely exciting for me. The collaboration with Reliance Entertainment’s Phantom Films and Madhu Mantena-both synonymous with cutting-edge narratives and vision- is a first I’m looking forward to greatly.”

Rakesh Maria too is extremely excited to be a part of this anticipated series helmed by the critically hailed director. He said in a statement, “It is exciting to re-live the journey, especially when piloted by a brilliant and sensitive director like Meghna Gulzar, and a production house of the caliber of Reliance Entertainment’s Phantom Films. Earlier, we saw Nana Patekar playing the role inspired by Rakesh Maria in Ram Gopal Varma’s film ‘The attacks of 26/11’.
