Looks like controversies refuse to run after Kangana Ranaut. After Soon Sood decided to walk out of Kangy's ambitious project Manikarnika, over competence issues, Kangy is mustering up all the courage to ensure that she directs the movie in the best possible way. First, it was the director of the film Krish who was shown the door as apparently, the producers were not happy with what they saw as the raw cuts. Even before this issue cropped its ugly head, it was suggested that Ranaut's interference in the ambitious project was too much for the maker to handle.

Later when Sonu Sood walked out of the project it was said that the actor was not happy with working under a woman director. Sood in his confession clearly mentioned that he has worked under a female director before (Farah Khan for Happy New Year) so the issue is not gender-centric as it is being touted. In all this hullaballo Anikta Lokhande has come forward in support of Kangana Ranaut. She even called Kangy the captain of the project!"I feel my feet lighter. 💃🏻

It's been a long time since fans have been anticipating her entry in Bollywood. Finally, Ankita breaks into the big, bad world of Bollywood with Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika. Ankita has gained tremendous popularity on TV landscape, but movies is a different beast altogether. While Ex-Boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput has tasted success in Bollywood films, Lokhande's Bollywood debut took much longer than anticipated. In her debut Manikarnika, Lokhande will be seen opposite actor Vaibhav Tatwawaadi. Ankita, logically speaking, has no option to support Kangana, some claim.

Interestingly, Kangana was given the option of taking the help of a new director or letting the project being shelved. Kangana had an option to either direct or let the film be shelved. She agreed and decided to lead the unit. Producers had full liberty to get a new director on board but they didn’t, reported a source to a major daily. But Kangy decided to take control of things and go ahead instead.
