In the aftermath of the Pulwama suicide attack that killed 49 CRPF jawaans, the emotions in the country are running high. People are bashing those who have a more neutral or pacifist stand on retaliation. Recently, MP Navjot Singh Sidhu was slammed on social media for saying that we should not blame an entire country (Pakistan) for the acts of a few. Kapil Sharma, on whose show Sidhu appears as a 'judge', was also criticised for supporting Sidhu when the latter was fired from the show over the comments. Now Mallika Dua is facing some heavy criticism from some right-wing supporters for her latest Instagram video (that she later deleted). Imran Khan Reacts to Pulwama Terror Attack, Says If India Opens War Front, Pakistan Will Retaliate.

In the video, Mallika is heard saying about how she has been hearing about the whole outrage thing that people are having over the terror attack, She claims that people are asking each other how they could lead lives normally when soldiers are getting killed. And then comes the controversial part.

Mallika now states that there are so many people dying of hunger and depression, which hasn't stopped us from leading our lives normally. So what's new about this situation, she asks. Pulwama Attack Aftermath; Pakistani Shooters to Miss ISSF World Cup 2019 in India Despite Visa Clearance.

Needless to say, her mistimed and misplaced comments did not find favour with social media users.

Mallika Dua, who is a popular comedian and actress, is not a stranger to controversies. She had once alleged that Akshay Kumar had misbehaved with her during a reality show. Her father, Vinod Dua, a popular television news personality, had been accused of sexual harassment during the #MeToo movement and she, an otherwise staunch supporter of the movement, had been criticised for her soft stand on him.
