Malaika Arora on Life Post Divorce With Arbaaz Khan: I’m at Peace

Malaika Arora has lived her life in the limelight for long enough to know how to handle herself gracefully even when in the eye of a storm. The actress recently was asked about her life after divorce with ex-husband Arbaaz Khan and being single and ready to mingle again. Malaika minced no words and shut all speculations about her current love life. The petite beauty unlike others indulged in no mud-slinging, but revealed that she was “at peace”. During a chat with Anaita Shroff Adajania, Malaika revealed how she felt post her split after being married to Salman Khan’s brother for almost 18 years. The actress said, “I think somewhere I'm just a little calmer, more at ease and at peace with my surroundings. I think I was just all over the place. Now, I feel far more calm.”

The actress also touched upon how the decision was not easy and how she had delved on various aspects of her life that would have an impact because of her split. Malaika added, “Of course those are thoughts that went through my head. I think anyone would go through anyone’s... We have those feelings... What would happen? How would life pan out? Work wise emotionally or professionally... The good thing is I didn't let anything get to me. I didn't get hyper. I just let time take its course.”

The Dabangg babe also seemed annoyed with her new “single” status. She said, “Everybody looks at me now and thinks, ‘you’re single now, we need to set you up.’ And I’m like ‘No! You don’t need to set me up. I think I’m pretty good on my own and I can pretty much figure things out for myself’.”

In fact, after her split with Arbaaz buzz was that the actress had found love again. There were reports suggesting that the new man in the Chhaiya Chhaiya actress’ life was not from the Hindi film industry. But when Malaika was seen sitting next to Arjun Kapoor at a fashion show it brought back all talks of their rumoured relationship.

Malaika and Arbaaz continue to be friends and are often seen at family parties mingling with each other’s families. Arbaaz too has moved on post his separation and is said to be dating Georgia Andriani.

Single Malaika in this interview also described her Mr Perfect. She said she’d prefer someone ten years younger, not too lean or muscular... but someone who’s in between. And yes, the guy should be a foodie. Anybody who comes to your mind, who’d fit Malaika’s this bill? Comment and tell us...
