Hit dating series Love Island came to an end last night with Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea winning the show. They beat another popular couple Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, which most people guessed would take the top spot. Amber, a beauty therapist from Newcastle and her match Greg, a rugby player from Ireland won the prestigious title in last night's finale. They bagged a cash prize of £50,000. Amber expressed that she could believe they have won it while Greg called their win as 'crazy.' Greg joined the show quite late, at the start of July while Amber was there from the start of the series. Greg started winning hearts of not just Amber but even the viewers with his charm right from his entry in the villa. Just before the finale episode, Greg even penned down a small poem for his lady love.
Talking about Greg, Amber said in the final, "[Greg] came in in the 11th hour; just when I thought there was nothing left for me in the villa, everything changed. He picked me up when I was at my most vulnerable, and helped me rediscover my smile." She underwent a roller coaster of emotions in the house. Being a part of the villa from episode 1, viewers were happy to see her happy ending. People on social media were also happy with the result and blessed the pair.
The other couple in the competition was Tommy and Molly-Mae who spent their time in the villa as a couple all throughout, but clearly Amber and Greg's story caught everyone's charm in the audience, who voted for the winners. Ovie and India came in third, and Curtis and Maura at the fourth position.
