The actress won the Iconic Performer Award for her role as Rani Padmini in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. She received the award by Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. She wore a trendy white saree with a hair pulled back in loose bun.

While she is still basking in the success of Padmaavat, she is already prepping up for next ambitious film. She will be next seen in a film called Chhapaak that is directed by Raazi director Meghna Gulzar. The film is based on the acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal and Deepika will be seen playing her role. The makers of the film have promised to the fans a completely ‘unrecognizable’ Deepika in this flick.

Coming back to the awards, we definitely missed her star husband Ranveer Singh. The actor has been winning hearts nationwide with his unmatched performance in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.
