In a shocking turn of events, a 27-year-old Marathi actor has recently arrested for sexually harassing and stalking his co-actress for 2 years in Pune. The actor of a recently released film has been had been charged under section 354 A (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 354 D (stalking) and 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), reports TOI. The 23-year-old actress filed the complaint against her co-actor with Wanowrie police.

A police officer at the Wanowrie police station told the publication, "She also alleged that he would stalk her over mobile after their shoot was over. Frustrated by his harassment, the woman blocked his number. The suspect would then call her sister and threaten her that he would defame the actress in public." The accused star also threatened her for avoiding his advances, the report further says.

According to the reports, they met near Baner area where he allegedly misbehaved with her. She requested him to not harass her but he did not stop. The driver who was present while the incident happened, instantly alerted the police control room. Two marshals from the Chaturshringi police reached the spot after this alert by the driver. The actor, however, pleaded that he would not harass her again, as the police registered the complaint in the presence of the actress.
