Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' relationship has become official and the duo is a happily engaged couple now.  But what has been the topic of interest for  many, and they have been discussing it at length now, is the fact that Piggy Chops is 10 years elder to Nick. Everybody is making a comment on it.Some even question why is it ok for an older man to be in a relationship with a younger woman, but when a more mature lady dates a younger guy why is that step seen as something questionable.

Some are even comparing Shahid Kapoor's marriage to Misha Rajput who is more than a decade younger to hubby Sasha. And now even Ranbir Kapoor's rumoured girlfriend Alia Bhatt is being seen as an example of a much younger partner. But quite irritatingly, it's only when the man is elder in a relationship it does not create much hullabaloo.

Amidst all this, Karan Johar gives his expert opinion on Priyanka and Nick's relationship and on the 10-year-old age gap. In a recent television interview when Karan was asked about the subject matter, he had this to say. "Relationship should not be about it. I am very liberal and progressive among these things. I have never thought, 'Oh, your man should be older than you.' Why? Why should we say these things? If you find compatibility and you find a relationship of comfort, who cares who's older than who."

The popular filmmaker added,  Who made these rules that the man should be older? Like sometimes I have heard members of my family say things like this. Sometimes, I feel that's the saving grace of the relationship. Sometimes the maturity that a woman brings to the table, I think it can actually make sure that the relationship has a strong binding. So, I really don't buy all these things, it doesn't make sense to me."
