Here comes some sad news for all Kajol fans! The ones who were eagerly waiting for the actress' next release, Helicopter Eela, to release on September 7, will now have to wait a bit longer. Yes, you read it right. Kajol's Helicopter Eela will not hit the screens next month as the makers have decided to push its release date by over a month. If you ask us why we'll tell you the reason behind this decision was director Pradeep Sarkar. Since he was recently diagnosed with dengue, he took some time to recover and Ajay Devgn had no qualms in waiting until his director was completely fit. Helicopter Eela: Ajay Devgn Apologises to Lyricist Swanand Kirkire for Missing Out His Name in the Trailer, Promises to Rectify It

According to a report in DNA, Pradeep Sarkar was still recuperating from dengue in the hospital when he had to rush back to the movie's set. Since Amitabh Bachchan had already given the required date of August 14 to shoot a cameo in this Kajol starrer, Sarkar had to leave his treatment midway. However, Ajay ensured that an ambulance and a doctor were kept on the standby at the studio where the unit was shooting this special appearance. Though the Singham star was out of town, Kajol made sure nothing bothered Sarkar and he was extremely comfortable. As soon as the director finished shooting Big B's cameo, he was rushed back to the hospital to continue treatment. Later keeping in mind his health and treatment, Ajay decided to postpone the movie's release by a month. The film will now hit the screens on October 12. Helicopter Eela Trailer: From Munna Bhai MBBS to Nil Battey Sannata, 5 Movies Kajol-Riddhi Sen Starrer Reminded Us Of

A source to the DNA revealed how the actor wanted Pradeep Sarkar to oversee the last post-production stage. He wanted the director to complete his film as per his vision. He was even ready to wait for Dada to be fit enough so he can himself oversee the last stages of post-production.

Talking about its new release date, the makers of Helicopter Eela avoided a clash with Arjun Kapoor's Namastey England and Ayushmann Khurrana's Badhaai Ho (Oct 19) by announcing October 12 as the new date. The film will, however, lock horns with Sohum Shah's Tumbadd.
