As per reports by TMZ, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are now engaged after reigniting their romance a little over a month now. Pop singer, 24 proposed the model, 21, over dinner at a resort in the Bahamas on Saturday. And she said yes. Although the couple haven’t confirmed the news, Justin’s parents tweeted about being proud of their son and have sent loads of love to the newly engaged couple. Justin’s security apparently told everyone at the restaurant to put away their phones as ‘something special was about to happen’. The Canadian singer proposed Hailey in front of everyone.

E! report states that Justin had already bought the ring, but it was a ‘sudden decision’. A source told E!, “Justin made arrangements for the ring when they were in NYC and knew that he wanted to propose to her. It was a sudden decision, but Justin always knew Hailey and he had a special bond that was incomparable.” The source further added, “The proposal was a very happy moment and Hailey was taken off guard. Her face was in shock, but you could tell they both are so in love.” Witnesses said that everyone was salsa dancing and a video posted by a fan on Instagram showed the couple in a celebratory mood as they dance together at the resort.

After the news of their engagement broke, a source told People, “It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not. Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks. He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.” Justin and Hailey had dated briefly in 2016 after being friends for years but now they seem to be inseparable. The two have been seen sharing hugs and kisses in front of onlookers and they don’t shy away from it.

Justin’s parents have welcomed the news with open arms. Beiber’s father, Jeremy, posted a photo of his son on Instagram with an adorable message, while his mother Pattie Mallette expressed her excitement on Twitter without really giving any details about the said engagement.

Baldwin has appeared in a number of modelling campaigns, music videos and television shows.
