Jhanvi Kapoor was spotted back on the sets of her upcoming debut movie 'Dhadak' today after a brief gap, post her mother Sridevi's death. Jhanvi will be making her appearance on the silver screen alongside Ishaan Khatter, brother of actor Shahid Kapoor, in the lead. For 'Dhadak', the remake of Marathi blockbuster, 'Sairat', Jhanvi was seen dressed in a green sari with minimal make-up at the shooting location. There were speculations as to when Jhanvi will be resuming shooting after the sudden death of her mother.
Jhanvi who turned 21 earlier this week was criticised on social media for celebrating her birthday with sister Khushi Kapoor and others. Her family members including sister Sonam Kapoor and uncle Sanjay Kapoor were slammed by social media users for posting pictures of the birthday celebrations not long after Sridevi's death. Anshula Kapoor, Jhanvi's step-sister took against a social media user who wrote something nasty attacking the sisters.

Reportedly, father Boney Kapoor was moved how Anshula arranged a birthday party for Jhanvi to cheer her up. Following, Jhanvi also received support from fans and followers who said she deserves to celebrate her birthday happily.
Sridevi passed away on February 24 in Dubai where she was attending her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding. After her body was flown to Mumbai, she was cremated with state honours on February 28. Members of the film fraternity and other celebrities poured in large numbers to offer condolences to the family.
Dhadak is set to release on July 20, 2018. The film like the Marathi one is based on how prevalent honour killings are in our country.
