Hrithik Roshan will be next seen playing the role of a math genius in the film, Super 30. Inspired by true events, the movie has kept the fans waiting for a long time now and the first trailer of the film will release on the internet today. The publicity around the movie is positive and negative in equal measures it seems. As much fans want to see this movie, there have been just many factors delaying the project.  The first controversy for the film was pretty minor; when Hrithik was announced to be playing the role of Anand Kumar in the film, many called out the mainstream casting of the film. Memes of Pankaj Tripathi being better suited to play the protagonist made rounds on the internet. While this controversy died soon enough, the ones that were to follow this took their own sweet time.

The next controversy was the PIL filed against Anand Kumar, the main man of the then-called biopic. Anand was accused of inflating the success rate of his institution for publicity and fraud. According to a report in mid-daySuper 30 makers then decided to not treat their film as a biopic. A source involved with the movie said since it was in the post-production stage, the filmmakers were considering removing all references to Kumar.

After that, it was the turn for director Vikas Bahl to take the fall. In October 2018, a woman accused Vikas of sexual harassment in a detailed account carried by Huffington Post. The accusations not only resulted in the removal of Vikas from the position of director of Super 30, but also to the dissolution of Phantom Films, which he was the part-owner of. #MeToo in Bollywood: Survivor Drops Case Against Super 30 Director Vikas Bahl Over Sexual Harassment Charges.

The movie was still pretty much on its schedule despite the controversies. But then came Kangana Ranaut. The actress announced that her film, Manikarnika will be releasing on January 25, which meant a clash with Super 30. But then the makers of Super 30 decided to shoot some additional portions for their film, delaying the release and averting the clash. Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi Trailer Launch: Kangana Ranaut Avoids Answering About Clashing With Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 and We Are Surprised! Watch Video.

Then the new release date for the film was announced to be July 26. Soon, Ekta Kapoor, producer of Kangana starrer Mental Hai Kya announced that their film will also be releasing on July 26. Thus bringing fans and the media once again to a point where they had to talk about Hrithik and Kangana's clash. Hrithik decided to delay the release of his film, once again. Now, the movie is slated to open in theatres on July 12.

Later, on June 1, it was announced by the makers that Vikas Bahl's directorial credits in the movie will be reinstated as he has been cleared of the allegations post an internal investigation. Vikas's clean chit from Reliance Entertainment was the centre of a lot of criticism on the internet. So far this is all that has happened with Super 30. These are enough controversies for one film and we hope the movie finds a safe release now.
