Zoe Kravitz Is All Set To Play Catwoman Opposite Robert Pattinson In Matt Reeves' The Batman!
Big Little Lies actress Zoe Kravitz is all set to step into the shoes of Catwoman in Matt Reeves' The Batman. The film will see her star opposite Robert Pattinson, who plays the caped crusader. Filming is yet to begin as the cast hasn't been completely finalised.
The Batman movie sees a new star joining the crew as Zoe Kravitz has been roped in to play Catwoman. Reports suggest that Kravitz will be playing Catwoman, the antiheroine and possible love interest of Batman in Matt Reeves' upcoming The Batman movie. For the uninitiated, The upcoming Batman movie has roped in Twilight star Robert Pattinson to play the Caped Crusader. As per Variety, the role came down to four actresses namely, Zoe Kravitz of Big Little Lies, Zazie Beetz of Joker, Eiza Gonzalez of Baby Driver and Alicia Vikander of The Danish Girl. Despite concerns in terms of her schedule with Fantastic Beasts franchise, Kravitz managed to snag the role from the other ladies. The filming of The Batman is yet to kick off. It is stated that the Warner Bros - DC Comics project will go on floors probably later in 2019 or in early 2020. As for the release date, the production house is rooting for a summer release in 2021 with the official date set as June 25. In the past, actresses Anne Hathaway, Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry portrayed the role of Catwoman in films. Hathaway is the most recent actress to have donned the feline suit as play a thief in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, which starred Christian Bale as Batman. It would be interesting to see how Kravitz's performance as Catwoman pans out. In fact, we are super curious to see the camaraderie between the new age Batman and Catwoman (Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz).
