Just as we are gearing up for Sophie Turner's Dark Phoenix to hit the theatres this June, the X-Men's 20-year franchise culminates with this film and it is beyond special. 20th Century Fox released a featurette, with film's stars old and new, highlighting the X-Men's legacy. Hugh Jackman who essayed the role of Wolverine in the series reveals, "When the very first 'X-Men' came out, nobody saw it coming." While Michael Fassbender who plays Magneto added, "It was like, okay, this is something new...they're seeing something different here."

"The history of the franchise, I hope will be a legacy," says Patrick Stewart whose infamous portrayal of Professor X is a fan favourite.

In the culmination of the of 20 years of X-Men movies, Dark Phoenix takes us through Jean Grey's journey of as she evolves into the dark phoenix. After getting hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all, Jean becomes an enemy to her own team.

The tickets of Dark Phoenix have gone on sale from today in the US. Earlier in an interview, Jessica Chastain had r revealed, "I get to beat up a lot of X-Men in the movie, and maybe kill some?" and we are yet to know if that's true. While we are aware that we may be bidding adieu to Mystique, will there be more X-Men character deaths in Dark Phoenix is yet to be seen.
