Wonder Woman is all set to return with her solo sequel. Gal Gadot's take on the Amazonian warrior is considered the best superhero in the current era of DC universe. This is a fact that both box office and critics agree, as her solo venture, Wonder Woman, smashed records at the box office and was the best-reviewed movie in the DCEU. With Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad and Justice League disappointing the fans, the DC and Warner Bros executives are pinning their hopes on Wonder Woman sequel to revive their glory!

The sequel is already in development with star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins returning. The movie is all set to release on November 1, 2019. The makers have also revealed the logo of the movie, which simply states 'WW84'. That means this is another period set-piece set in the year 1984. Which also means that Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman's civilian identity was not true that she has been lying quietly since World War I, the events of which was shown in 2017's Wonder Woman. The setting of 1984 also means that the movie will be exploring the Cold War era.

Kristen Wiig is playing the main antagonist, Cheetah, who has been a known arch-nemesis of Wonder Woman in the comics. Game of Thrones and Narcos star Pedro Pascal is also having an important role in the movie.

In an interview earlier, Patty Jenkins had this to say about the sequel, "The greatest thing about making this movie was the fact that you're really building to the Wonder Woman that we all love, but not until the end of the movie. The most exciting thing about [the sequel] is literally seeing her loose in the world now, living those classic stories. Here's Wonder Woman, and what can she do?"
