The shoot for Fast and Furious 9, which kicked off in June, came to a halt on July 22 after a stuntman sustained injuries on set. The crew was shooting at Leavesden Studios, UK, when one of their stuntmen suffered an injury after falling off the height of 30 feet. Vin Diesel's stunt double, Joe Watts is now in a coma after suffering a horrific injury after his accidental plunge downwards. His fiance, Tilly Powell took to Facebook as she wrote "heart is shattered" over the devastating news about Watts. She further wrote, "Joe has suffered a serious head injury and is in an induced coma. He is stable and is being monitored closely throughout the night. I love him so much and my heart is shattered. He has all his family and friends by his side to get him through this!"
After the incident took place on the sets of the film, Diesel was completely shattered and in tears. The Health and Safety Executive told Variety that a probe into what happened is currently underway. No statement has been made about the accident by the production houses Universal and Warner Bros yet.
