The second trailer of Tom Hardy in and as Venom has surfaced on YouTube. Needless to say, the parasite as an anti-hero is quite the favourite. He has been all over the screen in the 3: 14-minute long trailer. Keeping the premise of how Eddie Brock becomes Venom is still prevalent.
However, it's Riz Ahmed's enigmatic scientists/industrialist persona that has left us super curious. The second trailer gives Ahmed just enough screen time for us to know that he is an insidious force to reckon with. A person who is fine with witnessing the slow death and take over of a human by a parasite and smirking over it is definitely vexed and Riz's character portrays exactly that.
The dark-humoured trailer further delves into the life of Eddie Brock (played by Tom Hardy), the journalist who is also housing an alien "symbiote". The struggles are real for him as Venom is unstoppable. He pops up at all odd times and makes things rather ambiguous for the onlookers who have to witness Brock transform into Venom. But, Venom is also quite protective of Hardy, clearly because he has latched onto him.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Woody Harrelson and Jenny State. Speaking of which, yes, Michelle Williams is there but she is only there with a look of disbelief. That's about it. Let's hope there's more to her than her baffled stares at almost every shot. The film is scheduled to release on October 5, in the US theatres and will simultaneously release internationally.
