Spider-Man: Far From Home, featuring Peter Parker's new adventure post-Avengers: Endgame, has opened in theatres worldwide. The movie also deals with the results of the events of the previous films. Which basically means there is a lot of crying over the deceased Tony Stark/Iron Man. There will also be some dealing with the fact that 'snapped away' people are now 5-years younger than ones who didn't. But Spider-Man: Far From Home is connected to the previous MCU films in more than just these obvious ways. The movie has important, plot-reliant connections to multiple Marvel movies. We are entering the SPOILER ALERT territory. So, turn around if you do not want to SPOILERS. Well, that's all I can stress on it over text. So, here we go. 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Mints over USD 35 Million on Day 1.
The big twist in the film directly connects Far From Home to many movies. There is no way you are going to get a few plot points, unless you have watched all the MCU entries. Spider-Man Far From Home: Tony Stark's Sense of Humour Continues From Beyond The Grave in Tom Holland's Film - Here's How! [Spoiler Alert].
Avengers: Endgame
The previous MCU movie is, of course, related to Far From Home in the most obvious of ways. But most importantly, we learn that the ones who were snapped away were brought back with a blip. And the event is called "the blip". Also, the ones who were snapped away didn't age at all but ones who didn't, aged 5 years.
Captain America: Civil War
The big twist in Spider-Man: Far From Home is that the central monsters, Elementals, are nothing but holographic projections. Quentin Beck is revealed to be a disgraced former Stark employee who seeks vendetta for his bruised ego (?). He was the original creator of the holographic technology that Tony Stark renamed BARF and used it for therapeutic reasons.
Iron Man
The second big reveal in the film is the re-introduction of William Ginter Riva. The former Stark Industries scientist who helped Obadiah Stane in copying Tony Stark's arc reactor in Iron Man.
Captain Marvel
Makers save the final twist of the film for the post-credits scene. It was fun to watch Nick Fury and Spider-Man team up for an adventure. But the truth is that these two have not met in this film at all. Uhh...what? Well, Nicky Fury and Maria Hill were only Skrulls impersonating them in the entire film. Nicky Fury is on vacation mode and had sent deployed his favourite Skrulls to take up his and Maria's place on Earth. Skrulls are heroic shape-shifting alien species that were introduced in Captain Marvel.
