We have already seen quite a few trailers of Captain Marvel, considering it is the closest release to us, coming out in March. Going by the buzz created by the movie's lead star Tom Holland, we might get the first trailer this week itself. Actually today itself! The speculations began when a fan badgered the star on Twitter asking him when we can get the trailer of Spider-Man: Far From Home. To which, Holland had a very interesting response!
Then, Tom Holland put up another mysterious tweet...
In case you are confused as to why he is asking Sony instead of Disney or Marvel, the Spider-Man character rights are with Sony Pictures right now. They have shared the rights with Marvel so that the latter has creative control over the live-action films being made.
Anyway, later, Holland put up the below picture that mentions he is live-streaming something, which we are sure is the trailer, on January 15 at 5.45am PST (7.15 pm IST). He also captioned the picture as, "I guess my chat went well..."
So yeah, there is no doubt that we are going to have the first promo of Spider-Man: Far From Home today itself. What makes this move interesting is that how it will affect Avengers: EndGame. After all, in the current state of events, Peter Parker has been wiped out of existence by Thanos' snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Spider-Man: Far From Home is directed by Jon Watts, who had also helmed the first MCU Spidey movie, Homecoming in 2016. Jake Gyllenhaal, meanwhile, is playing the main antagonist, Mysterio. Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled to release on July 5, 2019.
