Tom Hardy turns 42 today. The actor has the most expressive eyes in the business. No wonder directors love to cast him in roles which require him to wear masks, only revealing his eyes. The actor has an amazing sense of picking scripts. He has rarely gone wrong with his decision. Which leaves us with a lot of movies to marvel over. But we narrowed it down to a select few for his birthday. So, as a token of our immense love for Tom Hardy, we are going to list down five of his most entertaining movies. You can pick any of these at random to watch, in case you are having a case of missing-tom-hardy-terribly-titis. We have not included The Dark Knight Rises because, while the film is great and Tom's performance is impactful, it doesn't work perfectly as a stand-alone movie. Tom Hardy's Venom 2 Gets a Director; Andy Serkis Roped in to Direct this Big Sequel.
So, without further ado, very happy birthday to Tom. May he turn even hotter and successful with age (which actually seems like the path he is on already). Here are some of his best movies.
Warrior
This one has got to be the best performance by Tom. It is evident how much work the actor had to put in this role. From learning the techniques of boxing to transforming himself to look like a fighter, it was perfection.
Mad Max Fury Road
An absolute bonkers of an action film. Tom is joined by Charlize Theron in this post-apocalyptic film that is one big chase sequence. Once again, Tom does most of the acting just with his eyes.
Venom
How did the idea of casting Tom as Venom did not strike Hollywood earlier? The actor was perfect in the role and brought his delightful stuttering humour to an otherwise dark anti-superhero origin story.
This Means War
This movie might not have been a favourite of the critics, but it is one of the rare films that have Tom Hardy looking sexy, stylish and suave. The actor usually picks gritty, author-backed roles where we are more charmed by his acting than his perfect face. If you just want to ogle at Tom, this one is your film.
Locke
If you simply want to stare at Tom Hardy's beautiful face for 1 hour 25 minutes, this one is for you. Bonus point is that there is a very engaging plot as well. The movie is set entirely in a car.
