Disney has released a series of character posters and a TV spot of the most-anticipated film, The Lion King and we cannot keep calm. The movie is based on the epic 1994 Disney animated film but this time it gets a technological twist. Director Jon Favreau is all set to present to us a world full of photoreal characters and it couldn't get any better. The voice cast of the film includes some big names such as Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, and John Oliver as Zazu. The eleven new character posters introduce us to the characters along with their voice actors. Disney Has Dropped New Stills From Jon Favreau's Upcoming The Lion King Movie - Check Them Out!
Favreau has used similar filmmaking technology like his earlier film, The Jungle Book to create each of the voice actor’s CG animal in The Lion King. The posters were shared by the makers with the caption, "5O Days". The Lion King is all set to release in July and we can't wait to get more glimpses of the film. The first trailer itself had suggested that this one is going to be high on nostalgia for those who grew up watching 1994 original and a new chapter for those experiencing it for the first time. The new TV spot features a few clips from the trailer and the epic dialogue, "Remember who you are."

Recently, speaking about coming up with a reboot and how fans of the original may react to it, director Jon Favreau said, "The more we looked at it, the more we challenged the story. There were certain things that needed addressing to make it feel more appropriate to this medium. But as far as the characters, the story, the themes, the music, we really felt that people were very connected to the original, and so hopefully if you are a fan of the original you’ll look at this and say, ‘Oh, I feel like I saw Lion King.’ Just like when you see the stage play, you still feel a connection to the animated film. But if you really look closely you’ll realize we’re actually taking a lot of liberties with it and we’re even changing things slightly with scenes and structure and the humor.”
Fans are already going gaga over these posters and can't contain their excitement to catch the film. The Lion King opens in theatres on July 19th.
