The Kardashians Dedicate Their People's Choice Award To Victims Of Thousand Oaks And California Wildfires

The Kardashian ladies took home the PCA trophy but started their speech with a heartfelt message for the viewers.

The People's Choice Awards 2018 took place last night and Keeping Up With The Kardashians won big. The Kardashian ladies took home the PCA trophy but started their speech with a heartfelt message for the viewers. The reality TV moguls, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner (Kylie was missing) were at the podium, accepting their award for their reality show, thanked their fans and humbly paid their respects to the victims of all the tragic events that have transpired of late.

Their speech started with, “It’s been a really rough week in our home in Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and [for] our neighbors in Thousand Oaks and Malibu,” by Kim Kardashian West. During the threatening Californian widlfire that resulted in her along with Kourtney and Khloe to evacuate their homes after finding out regarding the wildfire. They also spoke about the mass shootings in Thousand Oaks that claimed the lives of 12 people and took place hours before the wildfires erupted. “Our hearts are broken from the horrific shootings and those who have lost their lives and homes, as well as the hundreds of thousands of us that have been evacuated from the devastating fires that are currently burning.”

Appreciating the heroic and resilient spirit of the individuals who risked their lives to save the others from the tragic incidents, Kim K added, “been amazing to see the resilient spirit” and “heroism of those risking their lives on the front lines” and added, “Action is necessary. So anything we can do to help — as simple as donating to the many organizations that are collecting supplies, no form of help is too small. Our country is stronger when we come together and we cannot face devastation alone. We must continue to reach out and help each other in these trying times.”

The Kardashians concluded their speech by stating, “We really, truly appreciate what you have done for all of us. So please let’s continue to pray for everyone’s safety. Thank you.”
