Are you an Al Pacino fan? Or you live for Robert De Niro's brilliant performances? Well, in any case, you can't afford to miss Martin Scorsese's next directorial, The Irishman, which is a crime drama set in post-war America. One of the most ambitious projects of the filmmaker, The Irishman took as many as 12 long years to make. Reason? Its non-linear storyline. He narrates the story from the eyes of De Niro and revolves around the riveting mystery of the disappearance of the infamous union leader, Jimmy Hoffa played by Pacino. Al Pacino Birthday Special: 10 Movie Dialogues of the Legend That Never Cease to Be Utterly Quotable!

The makers have worked really hard on the film's technology that shows the lead actors in their younger selves. The timeline goes back to the '50s and keeps juggling between the past and the present, thereby making it difficult to get their real and technological looks right. The project is based on Charles Brandt's book, I Heard You Paint Houses, which narrates the mystery of Hoffa's disappearance and delves deeper into unorganised crimes of that era. With so many powerful names at stake here, we have some expectations pinned on this big project and we see no reason why Scorsese may disappoint us. Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’ to Have Its World Premiere at New York Film Festival in September.
