Jeff Nichols' The Bikeriders has released in India on June 21, 2024. As per a Censor certificate going viral for the film, the movie has been certified 'A' (Adults Only) by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). However, despite the mature rating, many swear words and abuses have been muted in the movie, like 'a**hole' and 'b*stard', while an image of a middle finger on certain jackets has been patched. The Bikeriders revolves around a motorbike gang from the '60s called the Vandals, and the film represents their dynamics with each other. Some of the language used between the characters come across as uncouth and cuss-filled, however, for a film that is certified Adults Only, it feels bizarre to see these recommended cuts. As for the 'middle finger' diagram that caught Censor Board's attention, that appears on the jackets of the Vandals.

The Bikeriders is based on a photo-book of the same name by American filmmaker Danny Lyon. The film had its premiere at the 50th Telluride Film Festival in 2023 and was supposed to be released that year itself. However, the writers' and actors' guild strike postponed the release to 2024.
