The Angry Birds Movie 2 is slated to release in India on August 23. It is a sequel to the 2016 film The Angry Birds Movie which fared well at the box-office, despite the mixed reviews. Story

Angry Birds Movie 2 stars Red (Jason Sudeikis) who is the only hope as Bird Island's hero and with the help of his friends Chuck (Josh Gad) and Bomb (Danny McBride) to overcome an unwanted threat. The rivalry between birds and pigs ends as they join forces to prevent giant ice balls attack from the eagles. This collaboration has a lot of Tom & Jerry moments and unleashes a lot of laughable scenes in the film.

Budget

The Angry Birds Movie 2 is made on a budget of $65 million, slightly less than the first instalment that was made on $73 million budget. The film needs to mint double the money in terms of the worldwide box-office collection to be a super-hit.

Box-office prediction

Interestingly, the Hindi version’s trailer has garnered 12 million views, which is higher than the original English movie. This means there is some anticipation among the Indian audiences for the film which has a flavour of desi dubbing. The Kapil Sharma-film will open with decent figures and is estimated to gross Rs four to seven crores on its opening day.
