The final film for the third phase of Star Wars franchise is all set to conclude with the upcoming The Rise of the Skywalker. Since the franchise goes on a trilogy basis with all the parts being in three-folds, the third phase will also see the new age Skywalkers hold their lightsabers and continue facing their conflict. The new footage holds various surprises that will make your minds go to town with speculation. The footage begins with Luke's voice as he states, "a thousand generations, but this is your fight.” Basically, Rey, Poe and Finn are getting their armours in place for the biggest fight of their life. Next thing you know, clips of battleships tearing up the skies take over while Rey and Kylo's brutal match continues. Interestingly, in the clip, Rey is actually seen wielding a red double-sided lightsaber. Surprised? What do these new developments in Rey's attire and lightsaber mean? Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker is all set to release on December 20 this year. A new poster was also released at the D3 expo. This will be Disney's last Star Wars movie for some time. They believe that the audience has become slightly tired of the Star Wars franchise and hence, they plan to take a brief hiatus before returning for the fourth phase.
