The film's Hollywood premiere took place recently and the first reactions are now out. The premiere saw the lead cast in attendance including the great Mark Hamill who has been a part of the franchise for years. While the film's TV spots and trailers have given way for several fan theories, Disney has been extremely careful when it comes to spoiler leaks. Even as over the years, several fans of the franchise have stated that they haven't found the same kind of connect with Abram's latest trilogy as the old films, there's no doubt that the franchise still enjoys a massive fan following globally who are excited for Episode IX. Here's looking at some of the early reactions to the film. Three Star Wars Movie in One!
STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER is certainly the most convoluted Star Wars. There is a lot I liked, but the first half gets so bogged down with exposition and new plot and doodads and beacons and transmitters, it feels like it should have been three movies on its own.

It's a Giant Movie
#StarWars #TheRiseOfSkywalker is a lot. It’s a big, giant movie with a lot of spectacle and high stakes and it’s definitely going to start a conversation (or a lot of conversations) among fans.

Get Set for Nostalgia
When people talk about #StarWars , they talk about their childhoods. Their best memories. The people they loved and shared it with.#TheRiseOfSkywalker brings back all those feelings. And then some.
I absolutely loved it.

Overwhelmed, Shocked, Stunned!
I’m emotional, overwhelmed, surprised, shocked & stunned. More than anything, I’m happy. Thanks for coming through one more time, Star Wars.#TheRiseOfSkywalker

Very Conflicted!
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has everything you want and more.
Which I don’t necessarily think is a good thing.
I loved parts, I didn’t love others, and I’m leaving the theater very, very conflicted about it. pic.twitter.com/dOYAP6Ntbi

Good Not Great
Man does #TheRiseOfSkwalker MOVE. This film hits the ground running & doesn’t let up. JJ’s energy is all over this thing. A Last Crusade style adventure. The bromance between Poe & Finn steals the film. Felt a bit more concerned w/plot than character, tad rushed, good not great. pic.twitter.com/S4tbDhXG35

Wonderful End to the Skywalker Story
Epic. All of it. #TheRiseofSkywalker is a terrific finale that is just stuffed with so much of everything. Action, adventure — answers!! — humor, heart, love, and grit. I spent the entire second half with tears in my eyes - a wonderful way to end the Skywalker story pic.twitter.com/K2NhHSGWzM

It looks like the weekend is going to be great for the Star Wars film given that with Christmas around the corner, audiences will flock to the theatres to catch this epic finale. Abrams also directed The Force Awakens, the first film in the trilogy which still stands as the highest-grossing movie ever in North America with $936 million.
