Marvel lost its pioneer on Monday as Stan Lee passed away at a Los Angeles hospital, stated a family attorney. The comic artist who soon paved way for mainstream comics breathed his last on November 12, but not without leaving a marvellous set of superheroes to look up to. By creating Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, the X-Men, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, he gave children a reason to grow up strong.

Every comic of his that transpired into mainstream cinema only made the fandom bigger and stronger. And with every film that came out from the Marvel Universe brought him closer to the actor who played the superhero caricatured by him. He made dozens of TV and movie cameos as well dating back to 1989. A touching tweet with his signature sign-off "Excelsior" marking his birth and death year was shared.

Bereaved wishes have been pouring in since. Chris Evans (who plays Captain America) stated, "There will never be another Stan Lee. For decades he provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy. He exuded love and kindness and will leave an indelible mark on so, so, so many lives. Excelsior!!"

Kevin Feige tweeted, "No one has had more of an impact on my career and everything we do at Marvel Studios than Stan Lee. Stan leaves an extraordinary legacy that will outlive us all. Our thoughts are with his daughter, his family, and his millions of fans. #ThankYouStan #Excelsior!" Karen Gillan shared her picture as Nebula with Stan Lee and wrote, "RIP Stan. Thank you for your brilliance." View all the tweets by celebrities. Stan Lee Dies at 95! Marvel Comics Legend Who Gave Us Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor and Many Other Superheroes is No More

We will miss the real-life superhero who brightened our lives with his phenomenal storytelling and ideologies that don't deserve us. He made normal actors superheroes that children look up to and so do adults. Hopefully the final Avengers movie might have the classic Stan Lee cameo.
