The inevitable has happened and it breaks our hearts into a thousand pieces. Stan Lee, the Marvel Comics legend has passed away on November 12, 2018. He was 95. Stan was the man who gave fans a string of superheroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Thor, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, X-Men, Doctor Strange and so many more. But fans mostly remember Stan Lee for his exciting little cameos in Marvel Cinematic Universe films, the last being in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. It kills us to write this, Stan Lee won’t be there in forthcoming MCU films.

In his last cameo in Marvel film, Avengers: Infinity War, we saw him as the bus driver in which Peter Parker aka Spider-Man played by Tom Holland and other school kids are travelling. After Ebony Maw's spaceship lands on earth, Peter’s spidey sense tingles to which Stan’s character coolly asks, “What’s the matter, you’ve never seen a spaceship before?” Oh, this is indeed ripping our hearts apart.

Lee, the face of comic book culture in the United States, died early Monday in Los Angeles, according to US entertainment outlets including The Hollywood Reporter. He had suffered a number of illnesses in recent years. In late September 2012, Lee had undergone an operation to insert a pacemaker. Incidentally, Joan, Stan’s wife of 69 years too passed away at the age of 95 previous year. She died of complications from a stroke. A year later, Stan leaves the mortal world in tears. He leaves behind a huge void, which every comic book and movie fans believe cannot be filled.
