If you're a part of the Beyhive, you're already aware of the fact that Beyoncé voices for Nala in the live-action remake of The Lion King. Speaking about her track, Beyoncé told host Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, "The soundtrack is a love letter to Africa and I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, not just use some of the sounds and did my own interpretation of it," and added, "I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa." Further explaining how director Jon Favreau wanted to show female strength in the film, the Grammy winner added, "It was important to the director that Nala—and the females in this film—[that] he put Nala right alongside Simba in the big fight... I thought that was really interesting, and very real [laughs] because the women are, you know, we're the fighters!" Well, the diva certainly has a lot to celebrate this week as not only did her track release and her film gears a release but her Netflix documentary, Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé was also nominated at the 2019 Emmys!
