Spider-Man: No Way Home is the talk of everyone’s mouth right now on the internet. Many have been extremely excited for this film considering the high fanfare for it that has been going around. Not to mention how Spider-Man: No Way Home brings the last two Spider-Man sagas together in a way where the villains from those films enter the MCU. Ever since that has been revealed, people have been going bonkers over this films. Spider-Man No Way Home: Ranking All the Live Action Films of the Webhead in Anticipation of Tom Holland’s Next Marvel Film!

For Spidey fans, this is an event like no other. Numerous leaks and rumours also haven’t helped since they have done nothing but just drive the film's hype even further. The biggest rumour of all has been that Spider-Man: No Way Home marks the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the role of Spider-Man. This rumour has existed for more than a year now and has had every fan excited to see their supposed return on the big screen. But until we get that confirmation, let’s take a look back on how Tobey Maguire interviewed Andrew Garfield just before the release of The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012.

After an exhausted Sam Raimi left Spider-Man 4, that project ultimately ended up getting cancelled and Sony would then go on to announce the reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man with Marc Webb at the helm. Sony would then announce that Andrew Garfield would star in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and then well, rest is history.

In what was a really big surprise, just before the release of the film, Tobey Maguire would interview Andrew Garfield for the website, VMAN. You can read the entire interview by clicking here. The interview itself is really endearing and fun to read for any Spider-Man fan to be honest. The energy that both the actors exude over here can be seen as wholesome and it is just one of those interviews that will stick with you. Spider-Man No Way Home Review: Critics Say Tom Holland's Marvel Film Has Great Fan Service and Genuine Emotions!

The bulk of the interview consists of Tobey asking Andrew how his experience on playing a play on Broadway is and just how exhausting it is to keep playing the same character every day. That was a fun question that gets an equally fun answer until gears kick in into talking about Spider-Man. Tobey and Andrew then discuss their experiences playing the wall crawler and how the audition process for both of them were.

What’s immediately noticeable though is the love both the actors have for Spider-Man as the character. Especially Andrew, who talks about how at the age of 19 he and his friend got a bootleg copy of the original Spider-Man and watched it twice in one sitting. Andrew would then reveal that he rehearsed Tobey’s final monologue from the first film and kept repeating it in the mirror with his friend claiming that he would never be Spider-Man. Well we all know how that worked out.

The interview is a really fun read and if you’re a Spidey fan, then I would request you go and read it, you won’t regret it at all. Here’s hoping that the rumours of them returning are true. To find that out, you can watch Spider-Man: No Way Home in theatres on December 16, 2021.
