If you are into the Spider-Man comics, you know that there are several iterations of the web-crawler that had donned the Spidey suit, including villains like Green Goblin and Dr Ock. Peter Parker is, of course, the most famous of them all. The second most famous boy to turn Spider-Man is Miles Morales, who is also the first black character to do so. While the MCU version, as well as the earlier Spider-Man movies, had Peter Parker as their focus, we are having an animated feature with Miles Morales in the lead. But he is not alone. Peter Parker is also joining him, as well as, surprise... surprise... Gwen Stacy in her Spider-Gwen avatar!
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is directed by the genius minds of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who earlier gave us gems in animated movies like Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs and The Lego Movie. They are also the reason why we have the imminently enjoyable 21 Jump Street franchise. The trailer of the movie has just landed, and it introduces Miles Morales as a gawky teenager who is often embarrassed by his cop dad. We find out how he turns into Spider-Man in his universe, and how he comes across Peter Parker and learn a lot about multiple universes aka Spiderverse. The trailer is very interesting and the humour is on point too.

Shameik Moore has voiced Miles Morales, while Jake Johnson and Hailee Steinfeld have lent their voices for Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy respectively. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is produced by Sony Pictures and Marvel Entertainment, and is scheduled to release during Christmas this year.
