It is going to be a Marvel vs DC this week, as two Hollywood biggies are locking horns on December 14. Sony Pictures and Marvel are releasing their latest animated film, Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse in India on the same day, as DC Comics and Warner Bros are bringing Aquaman here. Interestingly, Aquaman is releasing in India a week before its US release. The buzz for both the films are tremendous so we are excited to see how the clash turns out! Talking more Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse, the animated film sets up Miles Morales as the new Spider-Man on the big screen. And yet he is not the only web-crawler in the movie. We have two Peter Parkers, as well as Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, and Peni Parker in there. Not to mention frequent Spidey villains such as Wilson Fisk, Green Goblin, Doctor Ock and the Prowler.
Early reviews have been in high praise for the film, especially the premise and the animation. Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse is currently enjoying 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. We have managed to catch an early screening and had been in love with the film, which could be one of the best superhero movies in years. Now to Aquaman. For all DC fans who were disappointed with their recent movies (looking at you, Justice League!), here's something to cheer. Aquaman has been generating really great buzz with its promotional campaign. The trailers have been exciting, especially those underwater sequences, and Jason Momoa makes for a badass Arthur Curry aka Aquaman. Even the early reviews have in favour of the movie, with critics calling Aquaman a fun flick with great special effects.
Moreover, Aquaman has taken to a flying start in China, having released their last week, earning nearly $100 million in its opening weekend.
