While the finale was not what everyone expected and left a few fans furious, the actors of the show have been through their set of ups and downs while bidding adieu to their characters and it was evident how difficult it was in The Last Watch, a documentary released by HBO on the final season. We recently heard the news of Kit Harrington seeking help after suffering from stress and alcoholism post the show. Not long ago, Turner's Dark Phoenix co-star, Jessica Chastain had called out the show for associating Sansa's rape with her character development as a strong woman after the season's fourth episode, showed Sansa saying, "Without Littlefinger and Ramsay and the rest, I would’ve stayed a little bird all my life.” Several viewers had called out the makers for using rape as a plot device for Sansa and now actress Sophie Turner has shared her thoughts on it.

"The rape is absolutely not a plot device to make the character seem stronger. The sexual assault made her resilient, but by no means has it made her this wonderful character that we see today," she further added.

Sophie is all set to play the character of Jean Grey in her upcoming X-Men film. The film will see embracing her dark side in this film. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is all set to release in India on June 5.
