There has been no major character transformation among the lead Game of Thrones players as sharp as that of Sansa Stark. Played by Sophie Turner (Indian fans would love to refer her as Priyanka Chopra's future sister-in-law), the character is her breakout performance that made her so famous that she is now part of the X-Men series. Jean Grey could be that terrific entry to Hollywood stardom for Turner. But for the HBO series fans, she would always remember as that young Stark girl who has grown so mature that there are theories speculating that she could lead Westeros one day. And to think, there were bets that Sansa would not even last five seasons. Game of Thrones Season 8 New Stills With Jon Snow, Daenerys, Cersei And Arya Are Here To Invoke All New Excitement For The Final Chapter!
Sansa started off as an innocent, if annoying, wide-eyed elder daughter of Lord Ned Stark of Winterfell. Compared to her tomboyish younger sister Arya, Sansa had no ambitions as such, pretty content in her teenage desires of marrying a prince and siring his heirs. To her bad luck, her dream price turned out to be Prince Joffrey, who is just the evil incarnate, while his mother, Cersei Lannister, is a possessive psycho.
Her world first began to see cracks when her direwolf was killed for no goddamn reason. But the moment of awakening comes for her at the end of the first season when Joffrey gets her father beheaded right in front of her. From thereon, Sansa goes through a series of misfortunes, from tortures, to murder attempts to near-rapes to marital rape. For six seasons, Sansa only saw suffering, not to mention having half her family killed while the rest disbursed away. Towards the end of the sixth season though, we began to see a different Sansa. A Sansa who proved herself to be a very cunning general, who likes to hold her cards close to her chest. She gets back to some of her main tormentors like Lord Ramsay Bolton and Peter Baelish. Truth to be said, she is a better ruler of the North than either her cousin brother Jon Snow or his paramour, Daenerys Targaryen.
