Brie Larson's Captain Marvel has been receiving negative reviews even before its release and that too from people who are yet to watch the film. Netizens have been targeting Captain Marvel since the beginning and now it seems to be getting worse. Another superhero film, Shazam on the other hand, is sailing smoothly without much attention from the internet trolls. The film's lead actor Zachary Levi recently decided to stand up to Captain Marvel trolls and asked them to back off.

While there are several trolls out there pitting the films against one another and creating a rivalry among fans, Levi decided to address the issue in his recent Instagram Live session. The actor said, "There are people out there making defamatory and completely fictitious reviews and posts of Brie Larson's Captain Marvel -- and trying to pit Shazam against it, saying they're gonna support us and not them because of things they are making up."Captain Marvel is Being Showered With Negative Reviews on Rotten Tomatoes Even Before the Film's Release.

He further added, "Just because Shazam used to be called Captain Marvel way back in the day doesn't mean that somehow Brie or Marvel's Captain Marvel pitted against us. We're both movies and we're both going to be out in theaters at similar times. And the irony of that timing is really interesting, but there is no conspiracy."

The two films are up for a release at short intervals but both the films have their own audience. Captain Marvel is all set to release on March 8 whereas Shazam will be hitting the theatres in April.
