Selma Blair opens up about After.

PVR Pictures is all set to charm the country with the release of their romantic film, After on May 3rd, 2019 in India. The movie directed and written by Jenny Gage, After is based on the 2014 fiction novel of the same name by Anna Todd. The movie features Hero FiennesTiffin and Josephine Langford in prominent roles, alongside Selma Blair, Shane Paul McGhie, Samuel Larsen, Khadijha Red Thunder, SwenTemmel, InannaSarkis, Peter Gallagher, Jennifer Beals , Pia Mia, Meadow Williams, Dylan Arnold.

Selma Blair plays an integral part in the film, as she plays the mother of the lead, Tessa Young (Josephine Langford). Anna Todd shares on the casting, “Selma Blair as Carol is my teenage dreams coming true because I loved Cruel Intentions,” shares Todd. “Selma and Jo not only look alike, but their spirits are also the same. I honestly feel like every single person in the cast is exactly who they should be, even if they are these huge movie stars.”

“I did a photo shoot with Jenny right when I was starting out. I was the first celebrity she had ever shot,” comments Blair. “Plus, I loved her movie All This Panic and even moderated a screening, so I was invited on board. I hadn’t read the books, but I immediately went and downloaded them, as billions have done. I love being a small part of something that has an energy around it and people really want to see it already.”

“The experience is also a throwback to Cruel Intentions, except I’m playing the mom instead of Christine Baranski,” laughs Blair. “Carol wants so much for her daughter. Tessa is beautiful and has promise and they’ve worked really hard to get her to school. This is really a defining moment in Carol’s life and, of course, in Tessa’s life. We see her struggling with how to let her daughter be her own person.”

The much-awaited love story is all set to hit the screens on May 3rd, 2019.
