The original Jurassic Park trio, Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, are returning for Jurassic World: Dominion. Their presence in the film will not be limited to a cameo, the director Colin Trevorrow has said. On November 7, he revealed that the shooting for the film has wrapped up. Now, Neill has retweeted the announcement with a kind note. "There were days we thought we might not make it. But we have...we pulled off what seemed well nigh impossible . Great crew. Lovely cast . Top director. Phew- and CELEBRATIONS," he wrote. Jurassic World - Camp Cretaceous Season 2 Teaser: Dinosaurs Will Continue to Wreak Havoc; New Season to Release in 2021 (Watch Video).

Sam reprised his role in Jurassic Park III, which was not well-recieved by the critics. Jeff has reprised his role in the previous dino film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom but it was a blink and miss cameo, just like Laura's presence in Jurassic Park III. Trevorrow has alerted the fans that they should not be underestimating the roles of the trio in the upcoming film. Jurassic World: Dominion Halts Production After Few Crew Members Test COVID-19 Positive on Sets (Read Tweet).

The shooting of the film was heavily affected by the pandemic. After a delay, it was restarted amid great precautions. "I think that close proximity to each other has made the movie better," Trevorrow said to Deadline. "Everything we were going through emotionally we would share. We would rehearse on Sundays, we crafted the characters, which made the emotion of the film richer. I think the movie will be stronger for it."
