SAG Awards 2018 Winners List: Three Billboards, This Is Us And More Win Big at the Women- Centric Felicitation Ceremony
Kristen Bell became the first ever host of SAG Awards 2018 who led the award ceremony with utter pride.
The 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards aka SAG Awards 2018 was a huge surprise for all the Hollywood fanatics. The ceremony was held at Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. The show was a bit more than simply handing out the prestigious trophies to the deserving performers. The #MeToo movement that took social media by storm was the theme of this celebratory event. As a tribute to this movement, 13 Award categories including two stunt categories were bestowed by women of the film fraternity. Not only this but the ceremony also took everyone by surprise by presenting the first ever host- Kristen Bell who led the award ceremony with utter pride.
The winners list was also well- received by the onlookers. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri was awarded for the category of best performance by a cast in a motion picture. The best drama series award was given to the show This Is Us. Check out the entire winners list here.

McDormand exclaimed on winning the lead actress award, "Golly gee whiz. I have a couple things to say. Martin McDonagh did not sketch a blueprint, he didn’t string together a few words; he wrote meticulously crafted tsunami, and then he allowed his troop of actors to surf it into the shore. I also want to say, this is really great and I thank you… but there’s a lot of young ones comin’ up and they need doorstops too. Let’s think about that." Now such award ceremonies can be looked upon as inspiration back in our homeland too. We hope that more of the B- town award show managers take a cue from this and surprise us with some new norm- breaking events henceforth.
