It's expected of him to use the phone or a gadget that he endorses and tweeting through their direct rivals is, well, a huge goof-up. The actor has a Weibo account which is a popular chat platform in China, for keeping in touch with his fans and also promoting the OnePlus 7 series. And while his earlier forwarded post of Weibo faced severe backlash for an obvious error, he later rectified by posting a new post on his same chat account. “Well, I guess it's time to upgrade my assistant to a new OnePlus 7 pro so mistakes don't happen again. @OnePlusmobilephone - up for a quick delivery run?” he clarified to lighten the situation. Though his original message with the error was deleted immediately, enough screenshots were already circulated and the situation was about to go out of hand. Since Weibo is a Chinese app, it's understood that the company has appointed different personnel to chat on Downey's Jr behalf. Well, let's hope this error is not repeated in future and stop blaming our beloved Tony Stark for God's sake.
