Riverdale star Camila Mendes has made a shocking revelation about being a victim of a sexual assault during her NYU days. Mendes in her latest interview opened up to Women's Health mag for an interview when she spoke about her constant need for stability and why she needs it. If you are a fan of Mendes, you probably know that the actress sports a tattoo on saying “To build a home” on her ribcage. Mendes revealed that she got the tattoo during her freshman year at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She further explained that it gave her strength after she survived a sexual assault at college. Speaking to the magazine, Mendes said, “I had a very, very bad experience; I was roofied by someone who sexually assaulted me.” Mendes further added saying, "Whenever I feel like I’m going through something difficult, I think about what I can do physically for myself."

The Riverdale star's confession is sure to give more strength to sexual assault survivors to share their stories.
