Born of Egyptian parents, Rami Malek is a first-generation American. Rami ha studied to be an actor in a theatre group and has started off his career playing supporting roles in some really popular movies like Night at the Museum series, Twilight series, Need For Speed, Battleship, Short Term 12.

His career-defining turn was playing the lead role in the acclaimed series Mr Robot. #2 Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst and The OC star Rachel Bilson have been his school mates in Notre Dame High School.

#3 Rami Malek has voiced several characters in the popular videogame Halo 2. Since it was in his struggling phase, he had gone uncredited.

#4 His first role was in the TV show Gilmore Girls in 2004. His first movie appearance was as the Egyptian Pharaoh Ahkmenrah in the 2006 film Night at the Museum (he appeared in all the movies in the trilogy).

#9 When he won the Emmy for the Best Actor (Drama) for Mr Robot in 2017, Rami Malek has become the first Egyptian-American to do so.

#10 He also became the first Egyptian American actor to win an Oscar for his performance in Bohemian Rhapsody earlier this year. This, however, didn't go down well with Mohamed Ismail, Egyptian Member of Parliament, who accused him of spreading 'homosexuality among the youth'.
