One would not expect Quentin Tarantino to be the kind of filmmaker who enjoys Marvel movies, especially since he's kind of old-school when it comes to his cinema choices. Even though Tarantino is renowned for his love of off-beat old films, the director does take time out to experience new mainstream movies and his recent confession of enjoying Marvel films has come as quite a surprise. The director confessed that he has been binging on all the films to get himself ready for Avengers: Endgame. He said, "I haven't been keeping up to date with them for, I guess, the last four years," Tarantino said. "I think the only comic book movies I saw last year at theatres were Wonder Woman and Black Panther. But about a couple of weeks ago I started catching up with some of the Marvel movies so I could go see Endgame. I just finished Captain America: Civil War, so next up is Doctor Strange."

While the director is yet to watch the final film in the Avengers franchise, he has already declared his favourite film from the MCU. Tarantino seems to be highly impressed by Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok, speaking about the same, he said, "Actually, the last one I saw was [Thor] Ragnarok. I loved it. It was my favourite one of the series since The Avengers - drastically my favourite."

We must say, Tarantino does have an eye for the exquisite. Ragnarok was one of the films from the franchise that broke the typical Marvel mould. Even though it will be a while till Tarantino watches Avengers: Endgame, we would certainly love to know what the off-beat filmmaker has to say about that. We wonder if his favourite MCU film will change then!
