In the month of December, Indian has the luck of seeing two big movies from Hollywood, a week before the audiences in the US of A. Warner Bros' Aquaman is releasing here on December 14, while its US release is scheduled for December 21, avoiding a clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Zero. Now perhaps to avoid a clash with Aquaman itself, Mortal Engines is scheduling its release a week before its US one. With the new release date, Mortal Engines is now clashing with the Bollywood biggie Kedarnath. The romantic film set against the backdrop of Uttarakhand floods of 2008 is directed by Sushant Singh Rajput and stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in the lead. Mortal Engines, meanwhile, will be releasing in four languages here - English, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. With the stamp of Academy Award-winner Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings series and King Kong) on the project, who is serving as a writer and a producer here, Mortal Engines is riding on big hype. Sara Ali Khan-Starrer Kedarnath's CLASH With Step-Mom Kareena Kapoor's This Film on December 7 is UNAVOIDABLE!

Mortal Engines is directed by Christian Rivers and stars Hugo Weaving, Hera Hilmar, Robert Sheehan, Anna Fang and Stephen Lang. Here's the official synopsis of the movie - "Thousands of years after civilization was destroyed by a cataclysmic event, humankind has adapted and a new way of living has evolved. Gigantic moving cities now roam the Earth, ruthlessly preying upon smaller traction towns. Tom Natsworthy (Robert Sheehan)—who hails from a Lower Tier of the great traction city of London—finds himself fighting for his own survival after he encounters the dangerous fugitive Hester Shaw (Hera Hilmar). Two opposites, whose paths should never have crossed, forge an unlikely alliance that is destined to change the course of the future."
