The People's Choice Awards 2018 took place last night and Avengers: Infinity War and K-Pop boy band BTS won big. Clearly, the Marvel movie and the K-Pop band managed to strike a chord with the public of the United States! Apart from winning the best Action Movie of 2018, there were individual awards given to celebrities who did shine bright in 2018 with their kickass performances. By that, we mean Scarlett Johansson from Avengers and Chadwick Boseman from Black Panther.

BTS also got various accolades at the show with best music video and music icon, to name a few of their wins. Melissa McCarthy also took home a trophy as People's Icon Award as she was honoured for her work in television and films. Victoria Beckham also took home the Fashion Icon award. Many of the winners in their speech addressed the tragic thousand oaks shooting and wildfire that took place earlier last week.
