A Ghostbusters sequel is on its way. No, not a sequel to Paul Feig's all-female reboot. But a new follow-up film to the original Ghostbusters duology. Paul is also hoping that his movie should get a sequel. So far the sequel to the 80's films was called Ghostbusters 2020, but, now, we have our hands on the actual title of the film, thanks to the British Board of Film Classification. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is what the makers are going with for a new name. Also, bonus news: the first trailer of Ghostbusters: Afterlife is on its way.

BBFC has updated their website with info about upcoming trailers. The movie page revealed the title to be Ghostbusters: Afterlife along with the runtime — solid investigative work from our end. While the release date of the trailer is uncertain, it is revealed the first footage has a runtime of two minutes and 28 seconds. And most likely it will drop on the internet this week. Let us not forget that we might also get Wonder Woman 1984's first trailer, this week as well.

Ivan Reitman has directed the new film. He is the son of filmmaker Ivan Reitman, who directed the 1984 original and its 1989 sequel, both featuring Bill Murray, Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis as parapsychologists. Talking about the film, Ivan said, “I’ve always thought of myself as the first Ghostbusters fan when I was a 6-year-old visiting the set. I wanted to make a movie for all the other fans.”

He further added, “This is the next chapter in the original franchise. It is not a reboot. What happened in the ‘80s happened in the ‘80s, and this is set in the present day.” Paul Rudd To Play A Seismologist In Ghostbusters 2020; More Plot Details Revealed.
