Paul Rudd's MCU journey with Ant-Man is not going to end anytime soon as the studio is prepping up for its third outing. Though the movie didn't find a mention in Marvel's Phase Four announcement that they made at San Diego Comic-con 2019, it was later announced in their future line-up of different releases. Peyton Reed will return to direct this sequel and if a report in We Got This Covered is to believe, he has already found his next big villain for it. Is Ant-Man 3 Happening? In Ant-Man and the Wasp, we had Benefactor who hired the Ghost to steal Pym tech on his behalf. Though the face behind this name wasn't revealed then, the report states that the sequel will continue narrating his story and he'll further turn out to be a major Marvel Universe villain. Though chances are pretty rife for Osborn to enter MCU, Reed, who's slightly more inclined towards Doom may select him as his film's main antagonist. Marvel didn't announce a release date for Ant-Man 3 but considering they have already booked different slots for their future releases, the film could very well release in 2022. We'll still wait for a formal announcement though.
