The Supporting Actress Category at the 91st Academy Awards was a very closely contested category. Five incredible performers with some very interesting choices battled to earn a spot for the winners at the Oscars 2019 tonight. Amy Adams gets nominated for her performance in Vice. Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz both get nominations for their darkly funny turns in The Favourite. Marina de Tavira gets her first nomination for her performance in Roma. But in a surprising turn of events, Regina King took away the Best Supporting Actress beating previous winners like Stone and Weise. She earned the victory for an incredible performance in If Beale Street Could Talk. This was her first win! She had attended the ceremony in an Oscar de la Renta gown.
